In recent years Santa Rita grew very fast. Founded by brasilian Immigrants in the late 70ies, the City is located in an highly productive agricultural area, mostly soja-beans and other cereals. 340km away from the capital of Ascuncion, Santa Rita Rita is just right in the middle of the MERCOSUR and only 70km distance to the world famous waterfalls of Iguaçu.
The City itself hosts the second largest industrial-exhibition in Paraguay “EXPO SANTA RITA” with a lot of visitors and good shows. For more than 300.000 people, Santa Rita means the economical center in all belongings of cattle and agriculture.
